The Calvi Soft Leather Crossbody draws from the minimalist saddle and courier bags that emerged in mid-century Europe. Originally, these compact pouches were designed for efficiency. Small enough for movement, yet structured to carry essentials while maintaining shape. French and Italian artisans refined them through the 1960s and 70s, experimenting with soft-grain calfskin and single-panel construction that reduced visible seams.
